About Me

I am a thirtysomething ecologist living in North Wales, but originally from south-west England. I live with my wife and toddler in a small windswept cottage at 300m altitude (or 1000ft in old money, which sounds slightly more impressive). We catch any weather going up here and as I write there’s a 30mph wind and steady driving drizzle. So typical Welsh summer weather. We have a dog (a daft labrador who loves water) and two cats who occupy themselves with massacring the local small mammal population, running around the garden like lunatics and lying around looking innocent. I always find the last behaviour the most worrying.
